The territory of Supersano, extends for 36 km ², half way between the Ionian and Adriatic seas. Characterized by the presence of modest heights of Serre Salentine, rich vegetation and fauna, its name indicates, most likely, a very healthy place for the climate and the air. Near the center there was in fact the vast Belvedere Woods, now almost entirely disappeared.
